On my mk4 e/cabriolet I have a smooth flushed boot with a boot popper rigged up to Clifford key fob opened it yesterday to load some gear in and now it won't work alarm/keyfob works as I've tried both fobs and hear alarm box clicking but no noise from popper so I'm guessing wire must of come of when I shut the boot :-( how the hell am I gonna get it open I have subs behind seat even if I could get the back seat open but I can't due to it been locked in place any ideas peeps
Is there a cover over the inside of the boot? If not then get a big hole cutter, cut through one of the rear lights then reach your arm through and pull the popper, have seen it done this way before, will cost you a new light though!
Should do, it wasn't on an escort cab I saw it done though so I have no idea about the set up. It should be done as a last resort measure really, and only do it if you feel confident about doing it, wouldn't want you fooking something up!
