Hi I don't know if this is in the right section or if anyone can help. I'm posting this on behalf of a friend. He had a 2004 focus with a 6000 rds and has a code, but seems to be wrong although he's double checked it and had someone confirm. His serial number is M695220. And the Code he has is 9612.

Strange he's locked the radio and had to wait 30 mins or so and he's entering the code using digits 1-4 and the digit 5 to enter. After he dies this the radio displayed code constantly and still allows him to enter the code. Real confused

 

i have double checked and its the correct code, is very strange

 

I'm thinking maybe someone repaired the unit and put the wrong casing? If he presses 6&1 this displays a number but didn't have m infrpnt ofbthe number, could this be the real serial number?
