Default sierra saph zetec conversion?

hi there, for years now ive had a love affair with sthe sierra, ive had cossies all the way down to 1.6 classics and everything in between, like xrfourbies etc (never a 3 door tho coz i havnt exactly got money falling out iof my ar$e lol)
Now i want to build something different with more reliability as an everyday car, sooooo i was thinking of building a zetec saph, and hopefully turbo'd..

i would start with a low mile saph thats gotta be mint or mintish and dress her up in her older sibblings boots..the cossie. Thats were my problems start

I understand that the standard gearbox wont do and the only other options are the type 9, mt75 and T5...i was wondering if it would be possible to use the 4x4 set up from the xr4x4 inc the 4wd and lsd? if not can i just rn the mt75 rwd? or would a t5 be better?

Regarding the engine, i know its possible to do the conversion and would need a rwd water rail, and i think i need to use the sump, pick up pipe and eng mounts from the CVH. but this is were my limited knowledge of the subject ends.

Is it possible to turbo it like the ZVH that can be built for the ERST with the modified water rail or will the turbo/manifold hit the inner wings?

And can i use a modified ERST loom and ecu for this (or a zetec escort loom and ecu if i carnt turbo it) instead of a costly after market ecu?

any help would be great and maybe if you have a nice saph to kick this plan into action? sorry to bang on lol
cheers, steff

I think the zetec will mate to a T5 etc.

If you talk to Retro Ford or Burton Power they can sell you bits that will sort the finer details of the conversion out.

if you want to build a reliable everyday car why would you use unreliable old fashioned RST management, either use quality aftermarket management to go turbo or if you want a reliable everyday car would 135bhp mondeo 2.0 silvertop do the trick?
or what about the 150bhp duratec from a fiesta st / mondeo mk3?

the T5 is the obvious box choice if you want rwd in a saph
