hi guy's,
i have a side valve engine in my '53 upright Prefect, (e493a) and need to get some advice to see if i can fit the side valve engine from a 100e. i have the 100e engine in the garage. i know i would need to change the front engine cover to accomodate the bracket for the engine mounts. apparently the 100e clutch fits my side valve engine. the difference being the 100e has a water pump integral to the engine. the e493a doesnt have one at all.
any help/advice appreciated.

Don't know if this will help, but you might try on www.buryretroford.co.uk forum as there's some older guys on there with much older cars.
