Default L6 vs L8 ECU

What's the advantage of using an L8?

I need an ECU for my 4x4 Cossie Cortina project and not sure if I need an L8 or not.....L6's are cheaper as you know.

Do I need to use an L8 for the 4x4 lump? I have a L8 MSD chip for my set up...will this fit in an L6?

Cheers!

The chip will only fit the ecu type it was designed for, ie L8 chip won't work in a L6, unless you want AL LC then a L6 would do the job perfectly, but you'd need a new chip, so do some sums and work out what's cheapest in the long run, you may decide you want after market after adding up the exorbitant costs.
