mk6 escort td waterpump
hi guys i just bought a 95 td escort and on the way home the water pump bearings have gone and its leaking coolant can anyone give me some information on changing the pump and cam belt eg how hard it is or maybe a guide cant find one anywhere.
any help would be apreciated

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
its easy enough to change if your competant and have the timing tools,
theres 2 timing belts on these engines, be advisable to change them bothwhile they're off,
they were bad for the idlers breaking up as well so full timing belt kit is your best bet,
as the water pump runs off the cam belt they need to come off anyhow,
if your competant enough you shaould be able to do it on a sat afternoon no probs

Excellent advice, esp about doing both belts, the shorter one ie pump belt is often neglected, snaps and gets tangled up in the cam belt wrecking things.
You can do the timing with drill bits as well, as only pins, think they're 8mm but not done one a long time so don't quote me on that.
