ford/cosworth engines..
Ok, I'm a bit confused with all these engines out there, almost none of them being available here in iceland
But, is there like a website which explains when in time each of the different engines came to be, and why?
I'm for example curious, why the zetec engines came to be, when it seems ford already had a 16v four pot engine, at least the engines in the sierra cosworths are 16v four pots, right?
baaaaa, I'm confused

yep the block that the old cosworths were build on originated from around the mid 1970's. its design and manufacture were both old fashioned compared to todays standards with regards, weight, sound deadening, tollerances and strengh.
The YB' engines started in 1984, and there were several different developments for various projects.
