Default help!!

hi people, need some help regarding my power steering. Ive noticed fluid has started to go down really quickly and right hand side wishbone is wet with hydraulic fluid. Is it likely to be a hose that has split?? Im hoping it isnt a steering rack issue. any one had a similar problem?

help much appreciated, cheers

Get a torch and check the powersteering hoses, If you cant see any splits just look where the fluid is coming from.

ok, bloody difficult to see them though as hidden round engine, would the fluid squirt out just with engine running or would i need someone to turn wheels as i look?

Leaks can be deceptive, as the fluid runs from one place to another it can look as if it's coming from somewhere it isn't!

I could clean it all off and then start up and turn whell lock to lock a couple of times then re check, if ok then go round the block and come back and the recheck, with it clean it's so much easier to see where it's coming from!

Likely places are the hoses on the reservoir itself.
