Default Heater fan wont work, help please!

Hi all,

The fan for the heater on my escort Cosworth has stopped working on any of the 3 speeds (typical had to be at this time of year just as the weather is getting bad!).
Can still feel some heat coming through when driving so looks to be just something with the fan.

Anyone had this before?

Any adice on which fuses, relays etc I could check?

How do I remeove the fan control switches, is it a dash out job?

Any help would be great thanks!

Dan

I'd look on the fusebox lid where you will see a fan symbol, there will likely be 2 one for the engine fans but also one for the heater blower, check fuses, if no joy check fan motor earth, then if needed pull out switch and check for live to the switch and away from switch.
Often the resistors pack up, but this will only stop the resisted speeds ie 1 and 2, no3 being full speed and full 12 volts so doesn't go through the resistor.
