hi chaps.am happy to say i picked up my first 2wd saphire cosworth today and i love it to bits.i was just wondering i want to check things over on the car and i was just wondering where is the map sensor at in the engine bay.ive searched the forum but cant find any answers.sorry if this question has been asked before but me and computers are hopeless.thankyou

Am sure a lot of folk are wondering what your gonna be checking for if you cant even find the map sensor !!!!

 

lol,thers just so many plugs and sensors in the bay i dont no which 1 it is.

just had a quick look outside there at the sensor.it has bkl3be and 3018 wrote on it.is this a 3 bar map sensor?

that's the ignition amp

 

The map sensor is right where stated, under the expansion tank bolted to the inner wing(bracket), it's on the underside of the bracket pointing downwards.
If a 2 bar it will have APS02/03 on it, if 3 bar it will have SPA05/01 on it.
Don't go fiddling with things if not sure, can be very very expensive in a cossie engine to do this!!
