hi guys in again! my focus tddi is runnin a bit slower than should be sometimes very hard to start needs to be heated 3 or 4 times and whinned over alot. wen it does start alot of smoke and an oily smell. has been on a diagnostic system and no fault codes! mechanic thought maf sensor so have changed that could it be the cranc sensor?? oh a couple of times its cut out and needed to be towed to restart the other things i have checked wer egr which i cleaned with spray put a load of smoke out and soot! did help her run smoother hope its not the pump!! altho has been this way since last xmas would it not have give up by now? please help!!

 

wee update tried to bypass the egr with a tin lid and the focus wouldnt start at all! does this have any significance?
