heater control mk2 mondeo

hi my mk2 1996 mondeo glx estate has no heat in carhave turned red/blue knob to on and fan to full on but only getting cold air,any ideas

Does the car reach normal temperature, this is assuming the bowden cable is good (Which connects onto the knob and has not snapped etc)

Check the cable has not come detached at the heater box, not uncommon on mk1/2.
