Default EGT sensor location

can i fit an EGT sensor here with the correct adaptor?
i worry some moving parts inside the turbo may foul the sensor.

I think some small parts from sensor (if poor quality or if it be defective) can destroy turbo shaft blades.
I heard better position is after turbo, on down pipr, around 2 inches after turbo flange. Saw on pics lot solutions this way, but maybe any expert can confirm it?
Exhaust gases are colder alongside with distance from engine.

Just have a look see what is in the hole, and how long the sensor probe is.
I can always make another fitting on the lathe that is longer so doesn't protrude into the hole so much if you want.
