ive got a set of lights on the cheap, the seller said he thought they were from rhd car (hence the price), are there any markings to show if a light is left or right hand drive? i can see "HR", are these anything?

 

If you look at the lens most likely if they are rhd lights there will be a section that forms the kick up left part, this will be on the left hand side of the light as you sit in the car, right hand side as you face the light.
Most lhd use flat dip with no kick up so don't have this section, even thoiugh if they did would be on opposite side, just have a look around a few cars with normal style lights ie not the later style projector ones as light form is done inside these.
