Reshell cosworth
Hi was looking for some help regarding reshelling my K Plate cosworth into a H plate shell that i purchased with log book thats been seam welded, acid dipped and coated ready for paint.
Does the car have to be registered as the H Plate or can i use the K Plate registration as all the doner parts are from the K Plate shell. As the K plate car is white and the H plate shell was flint grey i have the dilema of what colour as i am ready to paint the underside. Any Help would be appreciated.
PS My preferrence would be White on the k Plate.
Cheers Big Al

Technially no its not legal, if the new shell you have was unstamped you would be able to transfer the idenitification over from the K reg one but you cannot remove 1 set of identification and replace it with some from another it would be classed as a ringer.
But seeing as you own both cars and they are not stolen personally I would find somebody very handy with a welder to put the numbers in so you cannot tell if you really want it on a K plate lol
