Default Clutch cable problems

Hi people, new on the site and I might be posting this in the wrong section but fingers crossed this is where I should be! Got a fiesta mk3.5 1.6 si which I'm building for a bit of track fun, got a 1.8 zetec dropped in on bike carbs with an rst escort LSD gearbox but my clutch cable won't go on as it's far too short for the new box. Anyone any suggestions? I thought of fitting the escort cable that would have been for the gearbox but I never noticed the ratchet mechanism on my clutch pedal so I imagine that this would not fit/work... Thanks in advance, Melrose.

Forget the clutch cable convert it to hydraulic, have a search on this forum plenty of threads on how to do it
