hi,ive a focus mk1,got it cheap,needed an engine,so i got a like for like zetec s 1.6 put in,everything seems ok,except it feels a little sluggish,and reluctant to speed up,tappetts are noisy on deceleration,ive only used it a couple of times since i had it done a week ago,im a learner,test is in sept,i was on the dual carrigeway with my instructor,when i tried an overtake,the car didnt seem to want to make it to 70,could it be the engine just needs running in.also,the previous owner,has changed the clocks for white ones that light up green and blue and red,they used to anyway,but now,the speedo nor the rev counter light up,all other lights do,abs etc,and the light directly behind the centre of the needles is on,just no lights to light up the clock faces,even after changing bulbs,any ideas.?thanks in advance.
