Hi there, i've been running my zetec turbo on OFAB management for nearly a couple of years now but have always thought it slows down considerably when warmed up. Obviously I don't want to thrash it when cold but until it's reached normal temp it's super responsive throughout the rev range. When warm even before any boost you can feel there's just not as much torque.
It's been built with a rover inlet but i've never inspected it's sensors. I do have a spare fiesta rs turbo working EFI head with inlet inc temp sensors so might swap them to see if there's a difference.
However, does the zetec engine in general run hotter than the CVH as normal so would the OFAB be retarding the ignition thinking the engine temp's too high?
Temp only runs halfway up the guage, so seems ok...
Any suggestions would be welcome,
Thanks,
Karl.

Engine temperature sensor for the management is a different sensor than for your dash.
So, dash temp gauge doesn't mean anything here.
Change the inlet air temperature sensor for an original one.
Or measure the air fuel ratio on a rolling road.
