hi is it possible to fit a 2.0l engine into my cabby, the engine i have in mind is a bottom end mondeo 2.0l with a 1.6 xr3i mfi head, its a complete engine with starter motor, dizzy, gearbox, and alternator, with all the wires ect, it comes with an extra engine mount, as mine is an mfi it shoud just be an easy swap shouldnt it?

 

Just swap it for a straight Mondo engine. Keep the flywheel of the XR engine, you need a 1.8 Escort sump, Modify the engine mounts and a few other bits. Just the loom to sort out really!!

 

so can i use the loom from the mondy 1.8 or do i need a diffrent one?

 

also what do you think would be faster, an rs turbo lump, or the 1.8 mondy? sorry to ask so many questions but i dont want to mess this one up lol

 

anyway sorry guys scrap that idea, ive got my hands on a rsturbo engine so could anyone be kind enough to fit it for me as i aint got a clue were to start
