Ideal N/A fuel ratio's
Hello,
I'm in the process of jetting my bike carbs on a 130 spec 1.8 zetec engine. What afr's should i be aiming to get ?
On my wideband i'm getting 17 at idle, between 14 and 15 at light throttle and between 12 and 13 at wide open throttle.
Does that sound about right to any of you ?
Thanks.

idle seems a bit too rich, aim for around stoich at around 14.7 but can go a bit leaner, say 15ish if it was stable.
cruising around 14.7 near stoich for cruise, although i've seen a gentle cruise sitting nicely around 16 for economy as long as the egt's aren't high.
as for ful throttle aim for around 13-13.5, you don't need extra cooling like turbo's so don't need to go too rich, but again make sure egt's aren't too high, an afr can't give you info on egt's sadly, just the afr and timing can play a big part fella.
