Okay so Ive fitted a new Amal valve to my cosworth 2wd, the new one I have is a different part number to the one on the car. ??
OKay so I double checked all the pipes and everything and went for a spin.
It would peak about 18psi before and now I canT get more than 12 peak on the new Amal valve HAHAHA.
So what do you think I should do, fit the old one back on as I dont want to play around with the actuator TBH as I dont see why I should as Ive only fitted a new Amal valve. ??
All the pipe are in the correct places.
Any help on this ?

the amal valve is a bleed valve,
the ports have jets in them, and that is the reason for the difference in boost,
you need to either swap the jets over from your other amal valve, correctly too as ( one controls the peak, one controls the held, and one controls both).
or get a tuner to set your boost up properly that knows what the chip is tailored for and knows about amal valves and desired jet sizes.

Nothing was wrong with the old one tbh, but a mate gave the new one to me and I though id give it a go.
It does seems to run smother when it comes on boost with the new one??.
Think I will swap it back to the old one lol.
When you say take the jets out im guessing thats the white plastic restricters in the pipe. ??
The thing is im getting it setup on tues so not sure if I should leave the new one on and get him to sort the boost. ????? hmmm

Ahh I see what your on about now, just removed the new one from my car and the restrictor was in the return to air box and wastegate pipe hole.
I have removed the one for the air box feed, is it worth me removing the wastegate one. ?? if so what will I gain. ??

Use half a hole of preload on a -31 actuator.
port -r = to the airbox is the bleed out,
Increasing bleed off in port-r by removing jet will increase your held
Port- c = from compressor
decrease the bleed size to increase the boost peak spike.
I'm not sure what would happen with taking teh jet out of the w port ,
On mine the w port is jetless, and i have a 2mm jet in the c port and r port is jetless.
but its best to do all this whilst monitoring, fuel pressure, co, afr etc. ie professional.
