Default Torque for the slider?

Ford Focus ST170.

Below is a picture of the rear caliper - as you can see, marked in red circle, what is the torque for these slider?

I know that the bolt going in the sliders are 35Nm, but I need to know how tight needed for the sliders as shown above.

Does anyone know? The Haynes manual is not very clear.

Thanks,

not really sure what you mean mate the only bolt is the one you mention that goes in the end of the sliders to hold the caliper on, the hex on the end on the slider is to hold it with a spanner while putting the bolt in the end of it.

Oh, ok. I must have misread the Haynes book then.

So I can remove the sliders, grease it up and put it back on without having to tighten it up? Then after fitting the caliper, the bolts goes in it and torque it up.

That's all I need to do?

Cheers.

thats it mate as simple as the way you wrote it !!!

they basicly just pull right out (grease up put back in) just do one side at a time and use the other side as refrence if you run into trouble

dont go to far in to torque settings as long as the f.t you will be fine

and double check every bolt before you put the wheels bl on

also you might need a wind back tool for the rear calipers

Well the slider are very stubborn to slide out and after trying for a fair bit of time, I've given up and put everything back in.

So what's the best way to take it out easily so I can reattempt this tomorrow?

Cheers,
