hi,i wonder if any body can point me in the right direction.
i have an error code p1518,intake manifold runner stuck open,bank 0ne
i have reset it a couple of times now.
can anybody tell me where this is on the engine can i purchase a new one

silver box on the bulk head sorta behind the throttle housing, has a wire in and a cable connected to the runners on the i.m

 

ABout £180 for the part from ford, and its a ford only part unfortunately. There are a few cheap fixes for this depending on what the problem is. Usually the plastic gears get mashed up in the IMRC so definately need replacing but sometimes it can be just a quick solder job to chage one of the electrical componants or the cable clip has broken.

 

I have a good 2nd hand one if u want one £100 posted.

 

Hi, thanks for replying to my message.is it the siver box with 3 bolts showing and a wiring loom coming out of the right side of it.

Thats the one its got a multiplug on it then a long cable to the inlet manifold her is a pic of one.

 

i paid £110 from ford for that part

I would like to no how u paid that 4 one i work at a ford garage and there price on screen are £178.34 i cant even get it for that with my ford discount
