Koni suspension help required

Koni suspension help required
I have a Fiesta RS1800 MK3.5 and have fitted Koni suspension, but there is alot of play where the strut sits in the spindle carrier at the pinch bolt, have tried tightening this up real tight but there is still a bit of play in it. I was wondering if there is any difference in size to a MK3 spindle carrier ?
