Can anyone help? Ive got mk5 rs2000 wheels under my mk4 XR3i. The bolts are just gripping the edge of the wheel. I live in Holland and after visiting my local dealer, the informed me that they weren't ford wheels..."Do i have to get rid of those sexy rims or...??

 

has no one here ever fitted mk5 rs2000 wheels on a mk4 then....???

 

yes mate.
i hear your cry's.
ive had this trouble, what you need is longer bolts, and you also need 16 shims.
the best place to get the shims is off the rs2000 mk5 wheel nuts.
simply cut the tops off the nuts and the washers fall off.
you cant use these shims with standard bolts coz they wont reach the thread enough.
be carefull if you are driving your car as it is because they could simply fall off!!

I've also got another problem with me ole faithful... could they be related..
When driving, there's like a squeaking noise comming from the car somewhere.. only under driving so its hard to locate. Before it only squeaked sometimes but its almost constantly now. Now on top of the squeak, there''s was a knocking noise.... So now the cars no driving til i get funds to take it to garage...anyone help??
