My faithful Mk 4 Escort (1988 1300) has broken a front spring.Changed for new pair but sits way too high.Can anyone tell me the LENGTH of the spring before its on the strut as i think i have been sold wrong one's.
Spent hours trying to find technical info on springs but no joy so hope you guy's can help me out.
Also can anyone tell me the height from the ground to arch on standard ride height of a Escort Mk 4 1300 ??? Off to watch Somerset Stages Rally so hope to find some good info later.

 

I dont think you'll find the answer to that mate. It may sit higher coz your old springs are just that. Old! They sag a bit

 

Hi i appreciate that. I just need someone who has some good springs that can measure the length. Mate is trying to find out as his father has a Ford Dealership but record's of detail's like spring length are difficult on something so old.

 

it may have been on rst springs and gone saggy over time. this would make it alot lower.

just get lowering springs or rst springs if you want it lower
