Question Turbo sizing/options/question

Building a 1.8 zetec turbo, blacktop.

Unhappy with the way escort rst manifold matches up to zetec head so looking for a zetec suited manifold and came across an american company who do turbos too. cheap enough for a new unit.

Is there any reason not to think that it'll be ok? I mean, its a brand new turbo and looks decent quality. They've got decent feedback too.

Question is though, what size housings are best to go for on a 1.8 ZT.

Ive narrowed it to this:

.42 A/R Compressor

.48 A/R Turbine

and this:

.50 A/R Compressor

.63 A/R Turbine

Im aiming for about 200ish and similar torques. C/R should be around 8.1 ~ 8.6 dependent on final build height with pistons ive chosen.

Im thinking the smaller turbo would be better since it'll lag less. It's going in a cab for now so dont fancy chasing power figures.

Final question. Is there any advantage to a V-Band on the exhaust housing? I guess it'd be easier to remove but im not sure if its worth bothering or not?

Cheers in advance!

just get a 2wd cossie turbo or 4wd cossie turbo and stick it on your manifold.
