Default 1.3 fiesta missfire!!!

Nice easy fault you may think, took the plugs out, found one cracked (12month old ford plugs) replaced plugs and still got a missifre only under load, sometimes it'll be the once or twice miss others it'll just missfire like mad and struggle to climb hills.

So i've replaced the coilpack, still the same.

Now i'm resorted to compression test (which i doubt cos it runs too well) or HT leads.

They look like originals - on a 96 p plate - and have done 90k miles, but i've never had to replace ht leads on the 1.3 fiesta/ka engine so i'm a bit dubious. But logicaly it's ht leads or injector soooo the leads are the cheaper option???

any opinions chaps?

I put a set of leads on a 51 plate 1.3 fiesta with circa 60k miles on as they had started to break down.

its an electrical fault I had exactly the same problem with my old 1.3.
it was the coil pack and HT leads.

Assuming you gapped the plugs correctly and ensured the tops were screwed on tightly, I'd defintely go for new leads next. If they were on their way out then pulling them off to change the plugs may have finished them off...
