I've got a '98 1.6 Zetec-E lump in my escort and its got an annoying mis fire from about 750rpm to 1500rpm ish which is worse when its cold. in the last 2 months, i've replaced the spark plugs (BOSCH ones), fitted a new ICV, a new throttle sensor and a new MAF sensor. it had a new fuel pump fitted in october and a new fuel filter fitted in the summer. i've got no more ideas now on what i could be

the cars done 67k and has been serviced every 6k by Ford. the misfire was worse b4 i replaced the MAF but its still there

please help!

bout £20 and worked a treat

 

i had same problem with my mk4 efi ,but mine was worse,i replaced electronic pack,ht leads,plugs,but i adjusted my fuel pressure regulator,so i didnt know if it was that,so i changed it and the choke sensor thing on the efi system as mine seemed worse when colded,after all that i started it up and it was the same left it running for about a minuteand it was perfect,i heard after new regultor or adjusting it u have to wait 30 second for it to set.pissed me off though
