As above, has anyone tried this? Is it okay to drive? I presume it is not perfect in corners, but it would be interesting to hear from you guys.
I have a broken diff (7,5", 3,64:1. lsd) and if the diff is not completely broken, I could weld it. I only use the car for motorsport.
And one more thing, isn't 3,92:1 better for my purpose?

if ya just using it on the track it will be fine it will take a bit to get use to to much grip on the rear and it will try to push ya in a straight line, would'nt really recomend in for road use but its a cheap repair if ya diff has gone

i had one on mine was great, never tried to push me straight drove fine but i did broke the middle out of my std clutch while i had it on dont know if that was why or just because it was a std clutch replaced it with a ap 6 paddle and was fine.

Yeah i would think on a track it could get a little exciting trying to push it into any sort of tight corner without ending up facing the wrong way chap . but if you do go for it let us know what it's like

Thanks guys, I obviously want to be sure this is okay. Good to hear from you guys how have tried this and have the experience.
- In tight corners and at high speed, it it okay? Or lethal? I know of some rally cars who had welded rear diff i the good old days.
What is a fair price for a good diff?

dont weld a good one just use a knackered one. when i broke my rear diff it mashed the teeth so i just had it all welded up.

Agree, I just found out the differential gear is broken, the top and button gear are broken in 2 pieces, and the ones in right and left side are a little granulated but still in one piece.
So I think I will weld this one and see how it works.

But the question is now, what diff are Cossie owners using for e.g. drag racing?
