98 f15o with a bad miss
hello:
I have a 98 f150 (4.6 v8, 4x4, automatic) that has a bad miss and looses power when i accelerate, start to pick up speed, or drive up inclines. It will be very dogish, then regain some power when it shifts.
I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, injectors, plugs, wires, one coil pack (the other tested fine).
Im thinking possibly the cataletic converter or a timing belt? Any input?

Won't be timing belt, as it can't change from how it is to suddenly be right, then back again.
Is the vehicle using a MAF ?, if so would clean this and reset it, then get a co check done, for lambda output most particularly it's swithcing speed.
