Default Focus 2008 td accident damaged

I have bought a 2008 ford focus new shape the car is accident damaged on the front driver side of the car.The car wont start. It is a durateq engine I have looked for a fuel cut of switch but I cannot find one even though the manual says durateq engines have one.The dash board also says engine malfunction then it says power steering malfunction could it be because the belt is not fitted because it broke in the accident? Can someone please help?

If it is a diesel then it is a duratorq if a petrol duratec , if a diesel then no fuel cutoff , and also it would have electric power steering which happens to be fitted under the os front bumper .... first thing to go in an accident is the pump and associated wiring.

I would say it may have another issue causing engine not to run , try keying off pressing and holding the trip button in then keying to position2 and continue holding trip button in until the dash enters the self test mode , release button then tap button until the DTC's are shown , make a note then post them and will see if they make any sense .

yes to the key off question , and the trip button on the cluster , the little black button you would use to reset the mileometer .
