Default escos strange wiring problem please help.

the problem i have is with the oil warning light on the dash, the car has a clifford concept 300 fitted that locks the doors when you start the car, if you have either door open when you start the car obviously this door does not lock but when you get in and shut the door the oil warning light is showing on the dash, if you then lock the door by pushing in the handle the oil light goes off. any idea how on earth i can fix this?

There is no connection electrically between the alarm and oil light, at least ther shouldn't be.
As most odd problems are caused by a bad earth I'm still stuck.
Has it just started doing this, or for a long time ?, to be lighting the oil light, it must be earthing the wire from the oil pressure switch somwhere.

As said the oil warning light must be getting an earth for it to illuminate. Check return to pressure switch to make sure it's not getting earth from elsewhere.
