Default Request: STEP BY STEP GUIDE ICV REMOVAL (99 ESCORT)

Hello All

After much troubleshooting it seems the ICV is at the route of my problems - 1999 Escort 1.6 16v L1E ANL version

I have a replacement part coming Saturday but desperately need a step by step guide of what to do so I can decide if I need to pay a mechanic or not?

Im guessing the procedure is remove the air intake pipe by unscrewing the clip, undo the bolts on the throttle body, and remove it by lifting upwards. Hopefully leave the inlet/exhaust manifold alone, reach underneath to the ICV then remove the two bolts holding it in place and replace.

The reason im asking for such a detailed explantion is the view of it is extremely limited, I havent replaced one before and the haynes manual isnt much use.... PS. im skint so could do without the garage bills.

Thanks to anyone willing to offer help

Mike
