can anyone give me any advice or info on fitting the hood. the frame and linning is already fitted i just need to fit the leather part and havent got a clue on how to do it

 

Its not easy at all if your doing it yourself and have never done one before.. infact even now after seeing someone do mine i wouldnt like to attrempt it myself! your best getting someone to fit it for you!
(or buy the hood off my old cab which was 2 days old before it got crashed )

Having taken off and replaced an Astra Hood, I believe what you do is fit the new hood material. Then offer up the window and cut out the hole for the window when the hood is locked in position, but remember to put some sealant around the rubber of the window.

seriously though it can be done but its FAR too much hastle! you will need to remove the strip that holds down the front of the hood and fold the new one over and screw it back down also the sides of the hood (where the material folds over and under the runner bit isnt exactly easy to fit!)
The main problem you have is with tentioning the hood as it will sag after a while and look shit
