Escort S2 wont strart when warm
my escort s2 turbo will fire on the button when starting from cold, once the car as a little temperature it wont restart. You have to have the throttle pedal to the floor to get it to fire. Someone ppl have said it is the starter motor but the started motor is turning the engine over the engine just wont fire. Could this be a fuel problem?
I would check the CO when warm, and that the timing is not retarded, as these will both affect hot starting.
As you suggest the starter is not the fault, like you hint at it only has one job, if turning over at a normal speed then it's working, and so should start, of course it's possible it's not the above but something breaking down when warm/hot.
