ive searched this site alot for answers about fuel pipes for cosworths but i cant find the answer to my question.
i have to replace the underbody fuel pipes due to them being crushed,i was going to use knuifer 5/16 pipe but i cant see how to get the original connecting clip off,the black/red clip that joins the metal fuel pipe to the plastic fuel pipe without breaking the clip.once ive got the new kunifer pipes on the car can i just throw away the old plastic pipe and use rubber fuel injection pipe to the rail etc?

 

Yes easiest way is to break off and use new fuel injection pipe to do the ends, the original joints are sweated on with a mini heater machine that simply clips over pipe and takes a split second to heat enough to shrink to shape.
I use 8mm OPA from Walker Rubber and Plastic, also do silicone pipes!!, about £1 a foot, is okay up to 25 bar, well over twice the pumps max so no problem, resistant to Oil Petrol Air hence it's name.
