can this be a diy job to replace the injectors sceals on a 1.4 tdci fiesta,and do they need reprogramed

 

i have been quoted 1 hours labour to get 1 seal replaced. looking at around £45 all in, only costs around £3 or so for a seal

 

Yeah mate you should be able to do them yourself they wont need re-coding just make sure you dont mix them up and all should be ok.

 

Will take much longer than an hour if the diesel has coked up, youll have to chip it all off to even get the injector out, and then when its out youll have to remove the rest of the crap, being careful not to get any down the bore, or its new engine time if theres any big bits in there.

Or you could be lucky, depending on how long its been leaking.

 

Just done my 1.4 fiesta van. Its a pig of a job, seems the engine was built by a guy with tiny hands. £56 for all replacement seals etc... Only thing is i cannot get the damn thing started now. Not too sure if i have bled the fuel enough? Good luck, would recommend having a competent friend who knows what to do at hand.
