I have a problem with my '08 ST225. Every so often (once every couple of months) it refuses to find reverse. Give it 10-15 minutes and it sorts itself out. The dealership are being total douchbags and say they cannot find a fault - even thought the salesmen have had to push it out of a parking space when the mechanics had finished for the day. Help!

Do you seriously expect somebody who has the car for an hour to find a problem that only occurs 'every couple of months'? Are you sure your not going from first to reverse without letting the gearstick centralise first, as this is something several people have complained about on other 6 speed focus's.

 

They have had it on three occasions, and no I have not been going from first to reverse. It happens when it has been running, stopped and then put in reverse from neutral.

 

Used to have the same problem engaging reverse in my Fiesta ST, something to do with the Synchro's not lining up properly or something.

Easiest thing to do was to engage 3rd and then reverse. Failing that a double dip of the clutch after struggling to find reverse in the first place would usually suffice.
