is probly been asked but do silver top rods fit black top pistons, or black top rods fit the silver top crank?

Silvertop, blacktop, US Zetec (inc ST170), Focus RS all have different pin diameters and rod lengths.

As long as you use the matching rod/piston together they can be used with any of the blocks.

All cranks are the same.
