Default old skool wheels not on old skool

years ago when i first got into my fords, i quite like the idea of the old capri/escort wheels on the newer fords, thinking of my mk4 escort. i asked the question of would they fit on a forum at the time and was told no, so thought no more of it. then as the missus was watching hollyoaks i clocked this burnt out mk6 escort with oldskool wheels on it!?
obviously i know nothing about the car other than its just part of the set so they may rub etc but it doesnt matter as the car wont move but its made me question the whole thing all over again of can you fit them? if not a straight fit whats required to fit them?

YES they will fit 100%, fwd cars like the mk4 escort will use a slightly different offset, of the wheel to a capri etc that is rwd, but same pcd(bolt pattern) at 4 X 108mm.
In all honesty I think I have seen a set on a mk4, and don't think the offset(amount they stick out/in) will be wildly different, but post up offset amount in GD(general discussion) as I'm sure peeps on there will have these.

I ran 7x13 rs 4 spokes and 7 spokes on my Mk2 Fez. you need the right Nuts/bolts tho. some may pull through.

theres a man round where i live with a mk6 escort with escort mk1 wheels on (like yours) its all white with spotlights on the front (from a mk1 escort etc) then black details (like the rs1600i mk3 escort) on the white body, it looks amazing

think itd look pretty cool on the squarer lines of the mk4 with old skool wheels, so do it

and as said i think its just if the nuts are the right length

There's two different wheel bolt fittings as some have larger holes than others, ame as sierra and orion ones the ghia type as I found out, some have a sleeve/washer around the bolt some don't.
