can somebody tell me if the alternator on a 92 saph cosworth is the same as any other model? or is it a specific one for the cosworth??

No, it's same as 2WD Cosworth or Sierra Ghia a 90A item, I think the 4x4 may have different pulley though as the belt arrangement was different but that's easily transferred.

There were a few tiny detail differences but essentially as said the same, save for the actual pulley if ribbed as opposed to v belt.
