The last problem to sort is getting my cd player to work does anyone have a radio wiring diragram for my R reg 1997 1.8 escort si ? or does anyone know which ones need connecting to my wiring block that i bought from halfords.

Wires in the car:
1. black and green (thickest wire)
2. orange and black
3. orange and black
4. yellow and green
5. black and green
6. orange and black

Wires / connectors from halfords (wires need twisting together if you know what i mean)
1. blue (power antenna)
2. black (chassis ground 12v -)
3.orange (dash light illumination)
4. red (ignition/switched 12v +)
5. black (chassis ground 12v -)
6. yellow (battery/constant 12v +)

if i get this sorted ill post the speaker ones up if anyone dares to find it out for me LOL
If the problem is solved from someone on here ill personally send you a large chocolate bar

 

I take it some ninny has chopped the plugs off in the car then?
If no-ones got the info to hand i've got a diagram in the garage i can dig out, wont be until later on though..

 

Yep your right some complete bananna has snipped the connecters so dont just wanna guess as i dont wanna blow anything lol if you could dig that out i would be extreamly greatful cheers lee

Nice 1 like i say its one of the last jobs to do but never been any good at electrics lol did the arches yesterday and there looking better than they did lol its mainly the kids that like the music on in the car only thing that shuts them up so cheers
