Default escort turbo missfire/pinking

i ve got a escort rs1600i turbo with a turbo technics conversion i think.the car idles fine and revs fine with no missfire or nothing but if i have the timing bang on it missfires and splutters but if i turn the dizzy it loses the missfire but starts to pink when i floor it so i can win lol any ideas lads as its driving me nuts lol

is it a turbo dizzy on it?
what boost are you running as these were only designed to run 5psi.
you probably need a proper turbo dizzy, but you'll be looking at £100 or there abouts and for that money you may want to consider fitting megajolt, ok more money and hassle, but better timing and fully user adjustable.

xr3i dizzy but its always had this dizzy on so cant see it being that but u never know/wots the differance in the turbo 1 and the xr3i 1 except it being smaller
