Currently got a Pace RS500 style i/c cooler in the car along with a pace 65mm alloy rad.
im changing the intercooler over to a genuine RS500 i/c and just wondered if anyone else has got a genuine one in the escorts and if they had any problems fitting it?
Also is the thickness of a genuine i/c thicker than the pace item, havent picked up the genuine one yet to compare.
Just wondereing if ive got enough space for both as its already tighter than an extremely tight thing in there already, and will i have to down size my radiator?
Ta!

You will have to mod the gen cooler turbo side spout to point outwards, otherwise the boost pipe will foul the alternator!!!
On the other hand you could just buy mine - which is already done!!
I'll also throw in the special hoses I had to get for it too!!

All fits on a treat with no problems!!!

kelcos,
The pace and genuine are virtually the same thickness(40mm core and 52ish on the end tanks)
If you have space probs you could fit a slim line fan kit like this one

kind regards
