i bought from US a haltech E8 ecu to fit to my sierra cosworth 4wd, i would like to know if it will work fine with my coil pack conversion (motorsport development) or i will need to buy an other ignition system, for example MSD dis2.

I assume there must be something on the Haltech site regarding this ?
Most ecu's, certainly aftermarket will run coilpack though.

The E8 and E11 do indeed run coilpack, but will need externals amps, 2 in the case of a 4 cylinder coilpack, as it will output on ignition 1 and 2 drivers to drive cyls 1+4 2+3, the ecu does not have internal amps for this.
