Newbie to the sierra world (been a mk1 xr2 fan) i picked up a sierra xr4i 4x4 with a 2.8i in it recently.

My question is could i fit a yb 4x4 running gear in place of the 2.8i 4x4 running gear?

Also could i fit 2wd running gear without any mods?

Just to clarify what you say you have - it's an original 3 door XR4i that's been converted to 4x4?

 

No, just been reading 'sierra wikipedia' i now believe its a xr4x4 i have 5door hatch

 

Its not a XR4I its a XR4x4, the XR4I are different are MK1's have 3 doors and a bi plane spoiler and are RWD.

YB will fit, the transmission is the same as used in Cosworth 4x4.
