Escort 6 Problem
Hi guys i was given a mk6 escort si and its had its engine changed t a 2ltr engine. i had a few problems to sort, chassis leg and the usual arch etc. I now have the car on the road and if i put my foot down and change gear it tries to pull to the right!!! what could this be? i have checked the obvious lower arms, bushes and tracking but they're fine.
Anyone else got any clues????

If the car is lowered at all, or has bigger wheels fitted, it will go through pattern arms in no time at all. I fitted a Ł15 quid one once to a car lowered with 17" wheels and it broke in a week
Ford ones are the way forward, even better if you go for the Royal Mail spec ones for the van. They're more expensive though, but stronger still.
Powerflex make bushes for the lower arms too, but get mixed reviews really!

These are a common problem on all fords but am seeing alot of probs with the KA's.
The inner front bush wears at an alarming rate and causes the car to pull one way when accelerating and then snatches the other way when coming off the power.
