escort dashboard problem
On my N reg escort, the orange light indicating a door is open is on constantly, and my fuel needle goes up and down willy nilly. Does anyone have any idea what I should be looking at to cure this?

sorry for being a dumbass, but how do i check these earths? I know about the door and boot earths, I think the three little copper contacts on the bootlid may be dirty making the orange light come on
