Mondeo 1.8TD normal temp?
Hi guys,
So today the Ramshackle Mondeo is having it's new alternator and all the belts changed todat.

I noted driving it today (it's only just been taxed so have only just been able to start putting some miles on) that it does seem to run pretty cool, right at the bottom of the "normal" of the gauge. I left it running to ensure the fan kicked in which it does at around the beginning of the o in normal so still below the mid point of the gauge.
Does this sound right? I'm guessing it could be the gauge misreading or a dodgy sender or perhaps the 'stat is goosed?? Are any of these common faults on this engine or am I just worrying about nothing?
Thanks in advance,
Matt

See if it gets better when you change the stat, as heater should be roasting really on a mondy, they're excellent, warm up time will give a clue as to whether it is lazy or not, try and use a WAHLE one when replacing.
